Company History

AS Rubber & Plastics Limited was established in 1996 by the Managing Director who had over twenty-five years experience in the industry sector. Within 9 months AS Rubber & Plastics Limited became an independent member of the PAL Group and occupied shared premises with a small staff, by 1999 the Company moved to a single 7500 square foot unit.

The main business was the distribution of plain and adhesive coated cellular foam products for supply to automotive, construction, electrical and engineering sectors. AS Rubber & Plastics Limited were also the UK distributors for Copescoat PVC.

As a result of the company's continued growth by the end of 2001 AS Rubber & Plastics Limited reached full capacity and moved to a double unit with over 16000 square feet, with integrated offices and space for its own machinery. In early 2002 AS Rubber & Plastics Ltd broke away from the PAL group and moved towards its own conversion of products with the introduction of laminating machines for the application of adhesive and Log Cutting capability.

The company's staff and turnover grew in the UK and extended to exports, and AS Rubber & Plastics Ltd were presented with the Innercity 100 Award in November 2002.

Our product range continued to diverse further in 2004 when the company employed further Sales staff from within the Rubber and Foam Industry which helped the company to increase its manufacturing business further.

Due to capacity issues in 2007 we invested in a 2nd Log Cutting machine which was custom made for our specific requirements, this allowed us to improve lead time and material yields were improved also.
With the continued growth of AS Rubber & Plastics Ltd in October 2011 the company relocated to new premises in West Bromwich, the relocation has given us a much improved working environment and will also give us the capacity for the continual growth of the business.

Our relationship with Copescoat remains stronger than ever and our Sales of various types of PVC foams continues to improve year on year, we are always looking at new materials to add to our current product range which include EPDM and Neoprene Sponge, Nitrile PVC, Polyethylene Foams and many different types of Polyurethane Foams.
