AS Rubber & Plastics Limited was established in 1996 by the Managing Director who had over twenty-five years experience in the industry sector. Within 9 months AS became an independent member of the PAL Group and occupied shared premises with a small staff, by 1999 the Company moved to a single 7500 square foot unit.

The main business was the distribution of plain and adhesive coated cellular foam products for supply to automotive, construction, electrical and engineering sectors. AS were also the UK distributors for Copescoat PVC.

As a result of the company's continued growth by the end of 2001 AS reached full capacity and moved to a double unit with over 16000 square feet, with integrated offices and space for its own machinery. In early 2002 AS broke away from the PAL group and moved towards its own conversion of products with the introduction of laminating machines for the application of adhesive and logcutting capability.

The company's staff, and turnover grew in the UK and extended to exports, and AS Rubber & Plastics Ltd were presented with the Innercity 100 Award in November 2002.

In the future we hope to reduce our costs through utilisation of our own machinery, process and increase turnover from within the UK and abroad, with the hope of taking of more staff with continued growth.
