AS Rubber & Plastics is a UK-based supplier and converter of anti-static foam for the protection of electronic components, Printed Circuit Boards and assemblies. With 60 years of expertise, we stock a range of polyethylene foam grades suited to protecting static-sensitive electronic components, available plain or adhesive-backed, cut to size, or supplied as bespoke parts to your specification.

What is Anti-Static Foam for Electronics?

Anti-static foam is a foam material engineered to prevent the build-up of electrostatic charge on its surface. Unlike standard packaging foam, it's designed to dissipate static safely, reducing the risk of electrostatic discharge (ESD) damaging sensitive components during handling, storage or transit.

It's specified wherever static-sensitive electronics are involved, including circuit boards, microchips and assemblies, where even a small discharge can cause a fault or permanent failure.
